Overcorrection?

Some of the goals of the surgery were to provide Violet with a straighter, flatter foot position, bring her heal down, no more foot drop and help her foot stop rolling out and eventually be out of her AFO one day.

Well, yes one of those things have been achieved her foot is definitely flatter and she has stopped walking on the outer side of it, but seems she has a new issue...she now has her foot rolling inwards!

So, Violet will definitely be keeping her AFO as she is unable to walk without it and there will definitely be more surgeries down the road as surgeon thought initially pre-op, but now this! As she tightens more, seems she will have no choice.

Let me tell you, we are not in a hurry for it, I really want to wait until Violet can make the decision she wants the surgery again, which will probably be when she finds walking even harder.

Here are a couple of photos of her weight baring without her AFO:

Good idea to put off any further surgery for as long as possible!

I hope Violet continues to get further benefit from her surgery.
