Tired of talking feet

Violet had her ulcer reviewed last Wednesday and then again today. I have been cleaning it still inbetween as they have put on a removable back slab now, so I can access her foot when needed.

Good news is finally, slowly getting better! It's slowly getting smaller, has less fluid draining from it and new healthy tissue is growing from the bottom of the ulcer as it should.

There was mention of it over granulating last Wednesday, but seems to be okay now.

Here is Fridays photo and here is today's photo.

Violet finally went back to school on Friday after missing so much of Term 1 due to this op and unexpected post op problems.

Look forward to her continued healing and when we can throw the cast away and do some weight baring...10 weeks tomorrow since she last walked.

Back to hospital for review of her ulcer on Friday.

My name is Brittany and I live in the US. Over the weekend, I read every single entry in Violets Blog. From the time she was born until now. I want to commend you for being such a strong woman. I can't believe Violets little life has been full of so much stress. She is a BEAUTIFUL little girl! She was a beautiful baby as well. Oh and I still get infuriated when I remember that you & Violet were able to count 82 long stares in one short little time period! If I were there, yes I would look at Violet. But, I would tell her that she is a GORGEOUS little girl and I am SO VERY proud of how strong she has been through her little life. I wish I could meet you and your amazing family! I will be checking in daily to continue reading about Violets journey. I have also bookmarked your own blog and I plan to read from day one til now, just as soon as I finish my tasks for the day. Also, Emily is a beautiful young lady too! I'm glad Violet was born into your family, because God chose the best woman ever to be Violets mummy! She is soo blessed to have such a caring, determined, amazingly strong, fantastic and sweet mummy! I know she has been thru so much and you have been right there by her side for EVERYTHING. You are all etched in my heart forever. I will always love your family.. it is too hard not to with how awesome you work together! And even thru the worst of times, you're all sticking together! God Bless you and your family Sarah! Huggs & kisses to your girls from a long distance friend and tell them I am so proud of them both!
