Kids on the Move Info Session

Last night, I attended an information night at Penrith City Council's Library Theatrette for the Kids on the Move program that Violet was recently approved for.

As I have mentioned in a previous post, this includes funding support for a total of 44 hours, where one of Violet's aides from the preschool are funded to accompany her in helping her transition to primary school.

Term 4 3 Visits
Term 1 8 Visits

Each visit can be up to 4 hours in length. They are flexible on how you use the visits. I will most likely use most of Violet's in Term 1.

This information session last night allowed the preschool manager, aide and therapists to meet with the principal of her primary school...and guess what...he was 10 minutes late but he showed up! This gave them the opportunity to start planning a visit schedule now which was great.

It also covered the aim of this program and everyones roles and responsibilities in this program.

I am so thankful that out of 40 applicants and only 10 were chosen, that Violet was one of the lucky ones! She will benefit greatly from this fantastic program! Thank you Jacqui from preschool for putting Violet's name forward!

Sounds like a great program. Such a shame only 10 kids can benefit, but great that Violet is one of them.

Sounds great Sarah and really good that the inclusion from preschool will hopefully flow onto the school and ideas can be shared for Violets soon to be great school experience.
Naturally everyone should have access to support in many forms but I too am glad Violet has this extra support available. xx
