Violet was fasting from 4am and we were told to arrive at the hospital for her leg MRI at 9.30am.
Today she weighed in at 22.6 kg's and she is 116 cm's in height.
Unfortunately, she did end up catching a cold last week from Preschool and she still has a lingering cough and when they checked her temperature, she had a low grade fever of 38°C. I was thinking great they are definitely going to cancel this MRI now as she still has the cough and now a fever! But thankfully they still went ahead with the MRI under GA.
She went in at 1pm and I was able to see her again at 2.20pm. We then went back to recovery and as usual after a GA she felt like a few crackers and sips of juice. We were allowed to leave at 4pm and by then it was raining and I had to make a mad dash back to the car, then had the joys of being stuck on the M7 motorway as there had been an accident.
Once home Violet wanted to rest on the lounge and about an hour after being home she started vomiting from the anaesthetic. Something she has not done since her 2nd brain surgery back in 2006. So next GA I will definitely have to mention this and get them to give her some anti-nausea meds before.
Our Orthopaedic Surgeon appointment is in the school holidays on 12th July, so will finally find out just what his decision is on what he will be doing for Violet's leg surgery now he has the MRI.
