Preschool Staff Meeting

This morning Dave and I met with all the staff and Manager from Violet's Preschool to discuss in detail her medical conditions, courses of action needed in case of emergencies & her additional needs.

They were all very welcoming, although they did look like they were a tiny bit worried about what they had taken on! They will be starting Violet's very own book, so they keep track of falls, seizures etc. Not sure whether that gives me comfort or not but I guess it's a good idea to keep record so we know what has happened...hopefully they wont have to fill it out too often!

Wish me luck for tomorrow... first day of preschool...

I hope tomorrow goes well - that Violet has a fantastic time at preschool and that you don't go crazy at home wondering about what is happening there! I can't wait to hear all about it.

Definitely super-dooper good luck & best wishes for tomorrow - to both of you!

I have the exact same worry about Molly starting her new preschool next week (the same one her big sister went to in '07) - completetly overwhelming the staff with info/needs/worries about her...

We have been using the kind of 'communication book' you describe for Molly at daycare, and it has worked very well - we plan to use the same at preschool.

BTW: you can also ask Epilepsy Action (www.epilepsy.org.au) to provide an education session to the preschool (free) - they are doing this for Molly on Friday.

I hope Violet has a fabulous time tomorrow, and that the time passes quickly for you.

Sarah, thinking of you tomorrow! Violet will be fine, it might just be you who needs a stiff drink and a big hug :) Bron xo
