Sleep Study

So glad the sleep study is over! Not sure how accurate her results might be because Violet would not let anyone put the nasal sensors on and we tried waiting until she was in a deep sleep but nothing worked as soon as she felt it there she ripped it off! We persisted all night with it and I think the longest she left it on was 1/2 hour....see photo below....

She left all the other sensors alone and it was mostly just uncomfortable for her to sleep with them all on...was bit more of a wake study!

As they let us go home this morning without seeing specialist first I am assuming all is good as far as sleep apnoea goes, but will still have to wait til next week before we get the official results from his analysis.

Her Paediatrician has had discussions with Sleep Specialist last week and regardless of these results she will still be having her tonsils out, just have to find out from this study if it will be her adenoids too.

I am glad it went OK. I don't blame Violet for not wanting the nasal sensors! And I don't know how well I'd be able to sleep with all those sensors on me AND far from home!

Well, I don't blame Violet one bit for not wanting something up her nose. I don't think Cara would like it either. Glad that it sounds like all is well, in terms of sleep apnea. Keep us posted. :)

Oh I feel your pain!! Sleep studies are ridiculously difficult - my daughter had one and I swear it was like some kind of torture having them strap all that stuff to her!
Hope the results came back okay :)
