Ocularist Appointment

Today Violet's Ocularist decided he would like to do another build-up on her shell. As he is extremely busy the coming weeks (end of year rush and all) he has asked us to go back again on 20th November to drop her shell off to him to do the build-up and pick it up again on 24th November, that way she won't be without it too long.

It has now been 18 months since Violet's last Moulding & EUA, so early in the new year he is organising for another one to be done.

This is quite fascinating to me! It looks so natural - does it bother her to wear it?

It is amazing how natural it looks. Very thankful these shells even exist!

She does have times when it is harder for her to tolerate her shell but mostly she does well. Helps that she has been wearing it from such a young age.

Yes, I imagine it must make it easier that she doesn't really remember NOT wearing it! I know it's not the same thing, but I think that's also a reason why Avery doesn't mind wearing her eye patch every day, because she's been wearing one since she was about 6 months old.
